Here's a critique since I don't often writ them!

First thing that stands out in a negative way is probably the shine on the boys hair (I'm assuming that's what it is since it's on the girl too). It looks really flat and more like snow resting on top his hair. This works on the girl however because her hair is a lighter colour, letting it blend in more. If I were you I would outline where you want the shine on the male's hair to be before colouring it in. That way you can leave in as a white from the paper. Another option would be simply drawing a thinner line/highlight with a white gel pen.
